Revitalization Commission Minutes January 12, 2015 Page 2 of 5 Reports of the Commission: Commissioner Gorsevski said the TIF and Urban Renewal developments in Littleton are interesting and could affect Louisville. There was a discussion about snow and ice on sidewalks in the Urban Renewal area and liability concerning this issue. City Attorney Sam Light said if there is a dangerous condition to let Public Works know about it. But ice and snow on the sidewalk doesn’t necessarily make the City negligent. Business Matters of the Commission – a. Posting Notices of Public Meetings: Commissioner Fisher asked if the LRC is required to post the agenda in the newspaper. DeJong replied that we are not. A motion was made to approve of the posting locations for 2015. The motion was approved. b. Open Government Packet City Manager Malcolm Fleming encouraged everyone to read it saying it is an important and critical document in how the City does business. c. Election of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary: Commissioner Menaker made a motion to re-elect current officers. That motion was approved unanimously. 2015 officers are: Chair – Karl Becker Vice Chair – Rob Lathrop Secretary – Alex Gorsevski d. DELO Update: RMCS Rick Brew said that activity has begun on the site. They have submitted first request for reimbursement. That request is in process. Most utilities are in. First foundation for townhome building is started. They are still waiting for final agreement with Comcast to make area between phase 1 and 2 a green area. Optimistic it will be done. Grading is ongoing. No excess fill is being placed on Phase II area. They are working with City on maintenance agreement. If Developer goes above and beyond, who maintains it going forward? Commissioner Fisher asked about the magnitude of extra maintenance costs? Brew replied they are working to determine that. 3
