Volunteer participants must <br />attend this training session where you will learn about Open Space’s Raptor Monitoring Program <br />and how to identify local raptor species. Volunteers will also learn about raptor breeding cycles <br />and the success of nesting raptors in Louisville. Interested individuals must contact Catherine <br />Jepson, Open Space Specialist, at CatherineJ@louisvilleco.gov by Wednesday, February 18th to <br />register for the program and sign up to attend this training session. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Snakes Alive! <br />When: Thursday, March 26th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm <br />Where: Louisville Library Meeting Room, 1st Floor (951 Spruce St) <br />Presented by: Center for Snake Conservation <br />Hosted by: City of Louisville Open Space staff <br />Appropriate Audience: All ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. <br /> <br />Join the Center for Snake Conservation (CSC) for a night of fun with snakes! Have you ever <br />wondered how a snake moves, eats, or sheds it skin? Are snakes slimy? Do they have bones? <br />Come and learn the truth about snakes and explore their amazing world with the Center for <br />Snake Conservation! The CSC is a local 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the <br />conservation of all snakes. Its mission is “to promote the conservation of snakes in their natural <br />ecosystems and implement positive change in human attitudes towards snakes”.
