Mayor Fauson replied that he wanted to <br />answer to the accusations. <br />Hornbostel stated that she is asking for <br />a statement to the public that from now on <br />Council is going to make efforts as far as <br />open government. <br />Maycyr 1~ <~uson asked that this issue be put <br />on the next Council agenda so that he may <br />have time to review the issue. This is <br />the first time he has heard about it and <br />he needs some time to think about it and <br />understand it. <br />Carnival stated that this entire issue <br />should be put under Other. He feels since <br />it was not planned to be discussed this <br />evening, it should be placed under other. <br />C:arri i v~ l spoke to the issue stating the <br />meeting and Mayor Fauson's representation <br />was L cal <,lly appropriate based on the work <br />session that the Mayor referred to. Even <br />thc~u~~1k Council did not take a vote, there <br />are going to be times when what you say at <br />a work session or public hearing, it's <br />taken at face value so that when the Mayor <br />has to make a quick decision that benefits <br />the entire community, he references back <br />to something that has occurred before to <br />come to that conclusion. The work session <br />discussion ended up being a majority of the <br />people involved at that particular time, <br />old and new. It was important to have some <br />type of direct airport access. <br />Cara e x..11 stated, "That was the reading that <br />I had, and concur totally with the Mayor <br />signing that stipulation on behalf of the <br />City.
