Carnival stated that there is a letter that
four council people signed and asked when
this letter was developed?
Hornbostel, "I wrote it. I wrote one on
my own and as I got ready to sign it, I
talking individually to some people and
they said that they wanted to sign it. We
were not council people at the time. We
were trying to say that it is important for
people in the legislature to know that
things may be different here."
Davidson stated he was at the meeting with
Mr. Skaggs and I don't know of any
discussions by the Mayor of Broomfield or
anyone else about a meeting to be held.
"If there was one, it was not an open
discussion. I think we should set the
record straight there."
"I would also like to ask why you did not
call any of the other councilmen other than
the ones that you mentioned?"
Mayor Fauson replied that they asked him
to come down and bring another councilman
with him. He called John, and then he
called Carnival.
Sackett stated that he could clarify his
role a little further as the delegate to
the Denver Regional Council of Go~~°;•r-ruu~~rit
who his the transportation planning
function in the Denver Metro area. "I
believe the Mayor called me thinking that
if council was represented, I would be the
appropriate person to do that. I
declined."
Howt~r~cl asked Mr . Williams if this
resolution says anything other than Council
will follow the state statutes?
Williams replied that an openness to
government would be in line with the state
statutes.
Carnival said, "Just a point of
clarification: The issue that we are
di :;c•.u:,:s r rig tonight is not W-470. W-470
was not discussed at that Saturday meeting.
7
