Carnival stated that there is a letter that <br />four council people signed and asked when <br />this letter was developed? <br />Hornbostel, "I wrote it. I wrote one on <br />my own and as I got ready to sign it, I <br />talking individually to some people and <br />they said that they wanted to sign it. We <br />were not council people at the time. We <br />were trying to say that it is important for <br />people in the legislature to know that <br />things may be different here." <br />Davidson stated he was at the meeting with <br />Mr. Skaggs and I don't know of any <br />discussions by the Mayor of Broomfield or <br />anyone else about a meeting to be held. <br />"If there was one, it was not an open <br />discussion. I think we should set the <br />record straight there." <br />"I would also like to ask why you did not <br />call any of the other councilmen other than <br />the ones that you mentioned?" <br />Mayor Fauson replied that they asked him <br />to come down and bring another councilman <br />with him. He called John, and then he <br />called Carnival. <br />Sackett stated that he could clarify his <br />role a little further as the delegate to <br />the Denver Regional Council of Go~~°;•r-ruu~~rit <br />who his the transportation planning <br />function in the Denver Metro area. "I <br />believe the Mayor called me thinking that <br />if council was represented, I would be the <br />appropriate person to do that. I <br />declined." <br />Howt~r~cl asked Mr . Williams if this <br />resolution says anything other than Council <br />will follow the state statutes? <br />Williams replied that an openness to <br />government would be in line with the state <br />statutes. <br />Carnival said, "Just a point of <br />clarification: The issue that we are <br />di :;c•.u:,:s r rig tonight is not W-470.
