Davidson also concurred with the proposal <br />only if in the mean time we are not asked to <br />pay the $8,400 to the authority. <br />DIRECTION - JOINT MEETING WITH LAFAYETTE CITY COUNCIL <br />Asti-Caranci stated the Mayor of Lafayette, <br />Larry Gupton, has requested that a joint <br />meeting be scheduled between representatives <br />from the Louisville and Lafayette City <br />Council to discuss the following two issues: <br />1)Mutual Water Concerns and 2) Open <br />Space/Buffers. He has requested that this <br />meeting be scheduled for March 13, 1990. <br />Asti-Caranci asked if the Council would like <br />to appoint two or more representatives or if <br />the entire Council would like to meet with <br />them. <br />Howard felt it was to important of an issue <br />to just have a few represent the city so he <br />suggested that the entire Council be present. <br />Council recommended March 19th and March 21st <br />as meeting dates and suggested that the City <br />Administrator set up the meeting with the <br />Lafayette Council. <br />APPROVAL OF WATER PURCHASE AGREEMENT - MARSHALL LAKE - EASTWOOD <br />PRINTING AND PUBLISHING COMPANY <br />Howard asked if this payment was a high <br />priority and if the entire amount had to be <br />paid at this time. <br />Phase yes it is. The purchase price is based <br />upon several prior transactions, and the <br />money is budgeted and available. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Howard seconded to <br />approve the Water Purchase Agreement. Motion <br />passed 5-0. <br />OTHER <br />Phase reported to Council that the lights <br />have been installed at Garfield and Lincoln <br />Street and would be tested in the next week <br />or so, weather permitting. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Howard directed City Administrator to contact <br />4 <br />
