VICINITY MAP: <br />Louisville <br />Middle <br />School <br />en!' •:v, <br />Little Italy <br />Planning Commission <br />Staff Report <br />February 12, 2015 <br />Downtown <br />Louisville <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The applicant, DELO, inc., has submitted a final Plat, final Planned Unit Development <br />(PUD) and final Special Review Use (SRU) to develop the second phase of the 14.13 <br />acre Downtown East Louisville (DELO) mixed use redevelopment project. City Council <br />approved a preliminary Plat /PUD /SRU for DELO on August 20, 2013. During the <br />preliminary Plat, PUD and SRU process, City Council also approved modifications to the <br />adopted Highway 42 Land Use Plan (Exhibit A) and a rezoning from Industrial (I) to <br />Mixed -Use Residential (MU -R). The modifications to Exhibit A provided a more <br />functional parkland and roadway layout. Specifically, City Council approved:: <br />• Resolution No. 42, Series 2013 — A resolution approving a Preliminary <br />Subdivision Plat, Preliminary PUD, and a Preliminary SRU, for the Downtown <br />East Louisville (DELO) Development, allowing up to 244 residential units and <br />12,000 square feet of commercial space. <br />• Ordinance No. 1637, Series 2013 — An Ordinance amending Chapter 17.14 of <br />the Louisville Municipal Code, modified the land use plan, incorporated as "Exhibit <br />A" to allow a roadway shift on Cannon Street and a redesign of the central park <br />area and the area identified for an RTD transit facility be changed to mixed use <br />residential (MU -R). <br />• Ordinance No. 1638, Series 2013 — An Ordinance approving a rezoning of a <br />14.18 -acre parcel of land located at 1125 Short Street, 1330 Cannon Street, 1341 <br />Cannon Street, 1000 Griffith Street, and 1004 Griffith Street from City of Louisville <br />Industrial (I) Zoning to city of Louisville Mixed -Use Residential (MU -R) <br />2 <br />
