Brand: A scientific sample survey is the only way that
there will be a good response.
Sackett: If a person pays non-resident fees if the receipts
could be saved and redeem them for a five dollar
card?
Baysinqer: That is in process at this time.
Carnival: The intent of the five dollar card was not to
generate revenue, our intent for the card was to
prove residence. A lot of these concerns are
major but yet they are important to individuals
and we need to address them. Maybe we need to sit
back down at a work session and reanalyze these
issues. As Council we need to come up with
policies to give to the golf course people.
Brand: On the agenda tonight there was an action
requested, what we can do is table these things
until July 26th at the work session that is
scheduled.
Davidson:. All of complaints that have been presented to the
Council are valid complaints, but they need to be
given a chance to work themselves out. Before we
start changing the rules we need to give the staff
a chance to go through and correct them, then see
if we still have these kind of complaints.
Mayor Fauson: Concurred with Davidson.
Sackett: Something needs to be done about how the pictures
are being taken and how long it is taking.
Howard: Suggested setting a date when to re-look at these
complaints and make sure they have been taken care
of by staff.
Carnival: One concern that needs to be looked at is proof of
residence.
Brand: Baysinger, Ott and herself have talked about other
ways to deal with the proof of residence.
Tom McAvinew, 229 Lois Drive.
McAvinew: Felt that using a drivers license would work just
as well as anything else. All other courses in
the Metro Denver area use drivers license to prove
residence. He felt that the dress code was not
needed on this course. If there is going to be a
dress code how will it be enforced?
Council decided to let staff handle the complaints
13
