PUBLIC COMMENTS
NONE
REGULAR BUSINESS
PRESENTATION/REQUEST FOR RECOMMENDATION FOR FACILITIES - INFANT -
TODDLER CARE IN LOUISVILLE FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES - BOULDER YMCA
- RAY MUELLER
Ray Mueller, representative from the YMCA.
Mueller: Stated the YMCA in Boulder is in need for
Infant/Toddler Care in Louisville for low income
families and is requesting recommendations from
Council for facilities.
Mayor Fauson: After the discussion that you and I had concerning
this item, I tried to see if there was any space
available. As far as I know there is no space
available like that to where we could keep the
overhead down. I am sure there are probably a few
areas where we could rent something, but I am
afraid that the rent would go over the allowance
that you have. Hopefully we could continue look-
ing and if there is something that comes up we
could get back with you.
PRESENTATION - FOREIGN TRADE ZONED PROGRAM -
STORAGETEK - RICHARD PELLETIER, SCOTT RODMAN & SUSAN WADHAMS
Richard Pelletier, representing StorageTek.
Pelletier: On behalf of StorageTek, I would like to express
my appreciation for the opportunity to discuss the
Foreign Trade Zone program. What we are proposing
to have StorageTek be an entity outside of the
United States for commercial purposes. This will
allow StorageTek to bring materials into our
facility, manufacture it and delay or defer the
payments of duties on imported materials. Stor-
ageTek is committed to the success of our local
economies.
Mayor Fauson: My understanding is that this would not effect
Louisville in any way.
Pelletier: That is correct. We do not anticipate that this
would have any impact on the City of Louisville or
any of the surrounding areas, from a
administration stand point.
Mayor Fauson moved to send a letter of support for StorageTek
requesting the sub-zoning, seconded by Howard. All in favor.
2
