Louisville Public Library Strategic Plan <br />B. Summer Reading Program <br />• We create a forum for learning through large -scale <br />programming effort. The 2015 SRP focuses on heroes <br />and their stories for children, teens, and adults. <br />C. On the Same Page <br />• Adults in Louisville, Superior, and Lafayette are <br />encouraged to read a selected title and attend related <br />programming. <br />• We promote the title to area book groups to foster <br />wider discussion. <br />2015 Work Plan <br />3. Outside Our Walls <br />We have a presence at community events to reinforce the integral role of the Library <br />within the community. <br />3.1 Work Plan Responses <br />A. Partnering with Schools <br />• Collection development in the Children's division is <br />focused on updating the nonfiction collection. <br />• Teachers will be able to request pull -in collections, <br />based on their curriculum needs. <br />• Staff attends school - related events, such as <br />Parent /Teacher conferences, Battle of the Books, and <br />Back -to- School nights to introduce parents to <br />programs and resources of the public library. <br />B. Business Community <br />• Staff regularly participates in activities and meetings of <br />the Downtown Business Association and Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br />C. Sharing programming through Channel 8 <br />• Six or more library programs are broadcast via cable to <br />area residents. <br />
