2015 Work Plan <br />Louisville Public Library Strategic Plan <br />B. Programs <br />• Displays of books related to programs are displayed for <br />checkout, as possible. <br />C. On The Same Page <br />• Readers of this year's One -Book title see other library <br />material on themes and events in the book to <br />stimulate their reading curiosity. <br />4. Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) Literacy <br />We foster exploration of STEM subjects and promote STEM literacy. <br />4.1 Work Plan responses <br />A. We develop partnerships in the community to encourage exploration of STEM <br />skills at all ages. <br />B. We develop a plan for STEM education for all ages, focused on the workshops <br />presented in the project room. <br />5. Partners <br />We support and augment the resources of schools, preschools, and daycares, which are <br />our natural literacy allies. <br />5.1 Work Plan Responses <br />A. ESL and Citizenship instruction <br />• Intercambio staff and volunteers provide literacy and <br />citizenship preparation instruction. <br />B. One Book 4 Colorado <br />• Louisville and Superior 4- year -olds receive a free copy <br />of a book provided by the State Library and distributed <br />through the Library and Library Trustees to individuals, <br />daycares, and preschools. <br />C. School Visits <br />• Staff works to ensure that area schools and daycares, <br />particularly those without libraries of their own, visit <br />the Library on a regular basis. <br />
