L <br />Cityot <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCF 1 S7S <br />Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 23, 2015 <br />City Hall, Council Chambers <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br />Call to Order — Chairperson Carlson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Authority Members Present: David Hughes, Matthew Machado, Tom <br />Tennessen, John Carlson and Marguerite Lipton. <br />Absent: Tim Hervey <br />Staff Members Present: Melinda Culley — Light Kelly P.C. <br />Ben Redard, Police Officer <br />Carol Hanson, Deputy City Clerk <br />Approval of Agenda — Chairperson Carlson called for changes to the agenda. <br />Machado moved to approve the agenda as presented. Hughes seconded. <br />Lipton raised the question about the communication for the Tri -City Elks and the <br />lack of reporting there had been a police incident. Carlson suggested addressing <br />this during Consent Agenda approval. All in favor — Agenda approved. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes — 01/26/15 — Carlson called for any changes to <br />the minutes. Hughes moved to approve the minutes. Machado noted on page 6, <br />first paragraph under Authority Comment, it should read "Machado inquired ". He <br />asked about a response by the Authority Attorney on page five "a letter is an <br />option ". The Rules of Procedure were reviewed and noted it says in 18 b.2 If <br />information is received by the Authority, which if substantiated, could be grounds <br />for suspension or revocation of the license, but the Authority determines not to <br />initiate formal suspension or revocation proceedings, notification regarding the <br />alleged violation shall be mailed, by first class mail, to the licensee. The <br />notification shall be in the form of a letter, and shall contain such information as <br />the Authority deems appropriate. Authority Attorney Culley noted the Authority in <br />the past has taken the position that this is not mandatory and stated the Authority <br />could change the language if desired.
