Would commit to being <br />open minded, willing to study the issues and look for a new prospective and make <br />an informed decision. <br /> <br />Sheri Marsella, 512 W. Louisville, CO, stated her reasons for applying for vacancy on <br />City Council: <br /> · Love of local government: Finds it interesting and rewarding. <br /> · Love for the City; belief that Louisville is the most well managed City in the state. <br /> · Belief the City's of Louisville is very smart in its decision-making. Examples: the <br /> growth policy, attitude for acquiring and retiring debt, non-smoking ordinance. <br /> Wish to contribute to making Louisville a desirable place to live. <br /> · Commitment to give her time and talents to the City. <br /> · Education: Bachelors and Law Degrees at the University of Florida <br /> · Experience: Practicing Attorney. Metro Dade County government: Transit <br /> Agency Security, Administrative Services, Housing Authority, Financial Advisor, <br /> Administrative Hearing Officer, Special Project Administrator, Legal Liaisons, <br /> Executive Assistant and Program Administrator for the Housing Authority. <br /> · Volunteer activities in Louisville: Youth sports, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Youth <br /> Theatre, School Library, Crossing Guard, and other activities. <br /> · Two Louisville Boards Service: the Local Licensing Authority in 1997 and the <br /> Housing Authority 1998-current. <br /> · Housing Authority accomplishments: 10 units of affordable housing at Regal <br /> Court, and 17 Units of Family Housing at Sunnyside, and rehabilitation of several <br /> units needing repair. <br /> · Working relationship with City Staff members and Council member Keany. <br /> · Reasons she is the best candidate to fill the vacancy in Ward 2: Her education, <br /> experience, resume of stability, responsibility and relevancy. Her working <br /> contributions to the City. She prepares, makes decisions, does not miss meetings <br /> and is dedicated. She has no personal agenda and want to serve the City. <br /> <br />COUNCIL QUESTIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson: What makes Louisville a unique community? <br /> <br />Marsella: The City is not anxious to annex property, is content with its size. It provides <br />quality of life. <br /> <br />Loo: Concurred it is the quality of life that makes Louisville unique. It is a settled <br />community, safe neighborhoods, open space, shopping, and great schools. <br /> <br />Van Pelt - If you could change one thing about Louisville, what would you change? <br /> <br /> <br />
