City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 21, 2015 <br />Page 9 of 21 <br />City Attomey Light explained the amendment includes both lots; one owned by the <br />Boyd's and the second by the applicant. He recommended asking Mr. Boyd his <br />position. Mr. Boyd stated his home is already under construction and is a single story, <br />but voiced his support for the PUD amendment. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1687, SERIES 2015 <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved to continue Ordinance No. 1687, Series 2015, to May <br />5, 2015, seconded Council member Stolzmann. Council member Stolzmann requested <br />more discussion prior to the vote to give direction to the City staff. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton did not feel the footprint should be limited to the second house <br />on the lot. There is no difference in the view sheds whether a 1 -story house or a 2 -story <br />house is built because they are limited to 26'. He noted the HOA Design Review <br />Committee will review proposals and dictate what can be built. He was opposed to <br />Council redesigning houses, Mayor Muckle felt a 2 -story house appears more massive. <br />Planning and Building Safety Director Russ stated the area along McCaslin is a rural. <br />Council member Loo noted the views have changed with the addition of a berm and <br />trees and questioned the rural nature of the area. <br />Mayor Muckle suggested directing staff t� work with the applicant. Mayor Pro Tem <br />Dalton suggested directing staff to negotiate a sufficient amount of leeway There was <br />Council support. <br />VOTE: All were in favor.
