There are plans for transportation funding, including FasTracks improvements, northwest rail and future transit projects. RTD, DRCOG and other agencies are also working on transportation issues. PUBLIC COMMENT Michael Menaker, 1827 W. Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO identified passage of the Open Space Tax for golf course improvements; filling vacant buildings such as Sam's Club, the implementation of the Downtown Parking and Pedestrian Plan and the Highway 42 Gateway as priorities. Emily Jasik, 1016 Main Street, Louisville, CO supported prioritizing walkabililty, wayfinding, downtown signage and the Highway 42 Gateway to provide a safe pedestrian crossing. Councilors were asked to revise, add or delete the list to provide a context for discussion on Goals. COUNCIL DISCUSSION Councilor Dalton suggested the trail connectivity be tied to the parks open space master plan. He felt the commercial historic incentive program is almost completed and suggested it have a lower priority. Planning Director Russ noted the goal of trail connectivity is part of the Comp Plan. Parks and Recreation Director Stevens noted the trail connectivity is underway as part of a 3 -5 year project. Councilor Keany suggested removing the infrastructure for the Recreation Center off the list because it will be covered under the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Councilor Loo suggested the aging infrastructure, examination of CIP Projects and the core services be combined into one goal. Councilor Dalton suggested the examination of CIP projects be deleted because it is on- going. Mayor Muckle suggested taking off the focus of core services. Deputy City Manager Balser explained sometimes things come up, which require resources and staff time. Councilor Yarnell felt the goal of core services should be stated. Councilor Loo suggested safety and health should be the City's first consideration. Council identified and prioritized the Goals they wanted to achieve in the short- term and long- term and pared the list down to the following ten.
