IU citiyof
Louisville
Golf Course Advisory Board Minutes
April 20 2015
COLORADO SINCE 1878
g. Carts will be allowed to go into the parking lot for club drop off and return.
h. The Ladies League presented a check to the City for the bench they are
sponsoring. The benches are being carved out of large granite slabs at the
Maintenance Area.
6. Discussion of the proposed 2015 Fee Schedule.
• David Baril presented a well thought out schedule for fees that was included in
the Board Package. This was welcomed by the board and discussion centered
on a few corner -case situations.
o David noted that if we had continued per the WGP strategy, the course would
be in a significant loss- making over a 3 year period
o Dynamic Pricing is a key feature of David's strategy. This is uncommon in the
area so carefully marketing will be needed to present the situation accurately,
At peak times on the weekends, 18 holes with cart is proposed to cost $67 at
Coal Creek compared to $71 at Indian Peaks, $63 at Broadlands and $59 at
Mariana Butte. Weekend times other than the peak 8:00am to 9:30am time
will be $62 or less at Coal Creek. Prices can be adjusted dynamically
depending on demand and Twitter uses as the means to communicate
special deals.
o Summit Club memberships will be effectively replaced by Imperial (7 day
validity) and Regal (weekday only) Passes.
o The Peak Players membership will be replaced by the Ajax (7 day validity)
and the Acme (weekday only) passes
o All passes will have discounts applicable to golf items only. Food and
Beverage is now an independent operation and will not qualify for discount.
o Passes will start on July 1 and expire on June 30 annually rather than the
"date of purchase" validity now in place.
o Pre - existing Summit Club and Peak Players Club privileges will be reactivated
with a start date of July 1 and discounts will be offered against the proposed
new fee structure.
o Free winter golf will no longer be part of the Ajax and Acme discounts. The
Board applauded this change.
o A Monarch Junior pass is planned that gives unlimited play on weekdays
between 8am and 3pm.
o David B agreed that this was designed as a viable starting point and would be
fine -tuned as playing patterns emerged.
o The Board strongly recommended that a Discount for Louisville residents be
devised. This is common practice in other cities and other recreational
facilities and recognizes the financial support the citizens have provided for
the golf course.
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT • 749 MAIN STREET • LOUISVILLE, CO 80027
(303) 335 -4735 FAX (303) 335 -4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
PARKS RECREATION SENIOR SERVICES OPEN SPACE FORESTRY TRAILS GOLF
