Quorum present. Absent: Jill Kenny (excused) <br />Members of Louisville Committee in attendance: Helen Moshak (OSAB Chair), Mike Schantz <br />(OSAB Vice Chair), Linda Smith, Spencer Guthrie, Tom Davinroy. Discussion — Open Space Education & Volunteer Programs. The Committees discussed the <br />following items: <br />• 2015 outdoor education programs <br />• Management and staffing of programs <br />• Adult education <br />• New Louisville seasonal ranger position <br />• Snake Conservation Network <br />• Marketing plans <br />• Other educational programs and volunteer opportunities <br />• Trail adoption program <br />• Raptor monitoring program <br />• Opportunities to partner together <br />2. Discussion — Trails Way finding. Louisville staff presented a draft proposal for the new 1.5 <br />Million signage and way finding plan. In 2012 the request for proposals was published <br />asking for consultants to design, plan trails and map a new plan. A two person "Tiger Team" <br />from the Committee worked on how to better equip open space and trail users to get from <br />one place to another. Three consultants worked on the plan; C <br />+ B Design, Loris and Associates Inc. and Terre Sky Studio; which includes six major trails <br />as a backbone, mile and destination markers, color coding, trail etiquette and educational <br />opportunities. OSAB is interested in collaboration regarding the information on signs <br />directing users to Superior and consent from Superior to use Superior trails and map on <br />Louisville's way finding materials. <br />10 <br />
