Call to Order- Mike called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. <br />II. Roll Call - <br />Board Members Present: Mike Schantz, Christopher Smith, Laura Scott Denton, <br />Linda Smith, Spencer Guthrie and Missy Davis <br />Board Members Absent: Helen Moshak <br />City Council Members Present: Jeff Lipton <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Joe Stevens, Allan Gill <br />III. Approval of Agenda - <br />Linda moved to approve the agenda as written. Christopher seconded. The motion was <br />passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes - <br />Ember announced that the minutes from the portion of the April meeting that was jointly - <br />held with Superior were not completed in time for the packet and once received they <br />would be added to the record. <br />Linda moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Missy seconded. The <br />motion was passed unanimously with abstentions from Laura and Christopher, who <br />missed the April meeting. <br />V. Staff Updates - <br />A) The recent heavy rains damaged the Coal Creek Trail near Hwy. 36 (washed out <br />fabric) and at Augusta Lane (ripped out fabric, creek cobbles deposited on the trail). The <br />following Open Space properties sustained slight damage from the rains: Davidson Mesa, <br />Harper Lake, CTC, Warembourg, Aquarius, Coyote Run and Harney Lastoka. Staff is <br />looking to contract out the CCT work, but do the rest of the repairs in -house this summer <br />B) Both of the seasonal hires have started. The seasonal maintenance employee, Dale <br />started yesterday. Tom Davinroy is now the seasonal ranger and he started last week. <br />The seasonal positions will run into October. Tom's is a forty -hour position including <br />enforcement authority and training with the Police Department will begin next week. <br />C) Ember has been meeting with Boulder County and the City of Lafayette to discuss <br />water rights at the Harney Lastoka property.
