25TH
Cry C >;
(.0(N4 C9reee/
G O L P C O U R S E
July 15, 2015
Dear Homeowners of Coal Creek,
I hope you are as excited as I am about the reopening of the course. You have witnessed the power of
nature and the resolve of the city to rebuild the course.
The integration of flood mitigation, improved water distribution, vastly improved water conservation, and
creating habitat are all a component of the design.
One specific design component I would like to point out to Coal Creek residents is the increase of natural
areas around the golf course. The natural areas will be watered and mowed on a limited basis. This
practice reduces water usage, chemical usage and fuel usage while creating more of a barrier or
protection for the homeowners.
These new natural areas are located behind # 1 green, to the left of # 3 fairway, behind # 4 green, and
right of # 8 fairway.
To view the specific areas, you can find them marked on the published design plan which was finalized in
October 2014. This plan can be found on the City's website.
If you have any questions the new natural areas, please contact David Baril, 303.666.7888, or at
dbaril @louisvilleco.gov.
David Baril
13
