Dear Mayor Sisk, City Manager Fleming, and Council:
As it is that time again for you to appoint members to the various city
commissions/boards, and my 3-year term on the Open Space Advisory
Board is expiring, I would like placing my name in the hat once again. I
appreciate the opportunity you gave me 3 years ago to participate in our
government, and it has been an honor to serve our community on OSAB. It
has also been a joy to be the chairman of OSAB this past year, and I look
forward to continuing my service to Louisville.
While I still find my work on OSAB a challenge and very enjoyable, I
would like to request a new challenge on a different board/commission. Of
course I would still graciously accept your vote of confidence by
appointing me to another term on OSAB, however, I would prefer to be
part of a commission dealing with issues I have more experience with and a
greater interest in; land use issues.
I would like to formal request an appointment to the LRC or Planning
Commission. The LRC would be my first preference, as I find the issues
surrounding our urban renewal area fascinating and the most exciting
component in our City's future. Planning Commission would be my
second choice, as it directly involves working with our planning staff to
help direct development into the vision our citizens have chosen for the
future of Louisville.
Sincerely,
David Waldman
1871 Continental View Dr.
Louisville, CO 80027
720-839-4172 (c)
303-665-0004 (h)
