December 22, 2007
Dear Mayor Sisk and Louisville City Council Members,
Thank you for taking the time to review my letter of interest in serving on the City of
Louisville Revitalization Commission.
As a six-year Louisville resident, I have come to know and love this city on many levels.
As a family, we enjoy a close community within our neighborhood where we are building
life-long friendships for ourselves and our children. As a parent, our children enjoy
attending local schools. As a family we utilize well-kept trails, paths, and sidewalks
almost every day. As consumers, both I and my family frequent and enjoy local
businesses and parks, making a special effort to patronize new restaurants and other new
businesses both downtown and within city limits.
After receiving a letter alerting me to the open positions with the City, I became intrigued
as City Planning and Development is a passionate interest of mine. I would welcome the
opportunity to participate hands-on in the process by which city government activities are
accomplished. Although I am applying for the position on the Revitalization
Commission, I would be honored to fill any of the vacancies you would see as a great fit.
My primary objective is to become actively involved with the City Government.
In reviewing the open positions, I believe my interest and qualifications best fit with a
position on the Revitalization Commission. I hold a BS Degree in Geology with
Environmental Emphasis from the University Of Minnesota Institute Of Technology. I
hold the highest level Colorado Real Estate License as Managing Broker and Owner of
Foothills Property Management, LLC. As a life-long learner, some of my long-term goals
include learning about city development and planning, and becoming an active
contributor to city government. I am familiar with and support the Highway 42
Revitalization project. I would be honored to be a part of the process in bringing this
project, and others, to full fruition. I believe it to be possible to both enhance and to
preserve while undergoing the process of change.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Lasica
627 Wildrose Way
Louisville CO 80027
(303) 664-1445 -home
(303) 921-2789 -cell
rlasica(cr~,yahoo.com
