The FAR should be re-evaluated to re-establish the potential buildout <br />of FAR with the existing roadway infrastructure. This study will also have to take <br />into account the addition of the regional pass-through traffic that will be generated <br />through FasTracks. <br />2. Opportunity Area #4 -Sun Microsystems Property. <br />a. Consider a linkage requirement between housing and job generation. <br />3. Opportunity Areas #5 <br />a. Review future connectivity issues between the Opportunity Area and the Town of <br />Superior and the Superior Town Center. <br />Transportation <br />1. Opportunity Area #2 <br />a. The results of the Northwest Corridor Environmental Assessment will be available <br />from RTD in Spring of 2008. Results from this analysis will need to be brought <br />forward in the amendment process. <br />b. Principles and Policies of the Transportation I3lement need to be evaluated based <br />upon future impact of FasTracks on South Boulder Road, Highway 42, Pine Street, <br />Griffith, as well as the overflow parking that will impact the existing downtown on <br />the west side of the tracks. Policy revisions may include a recommendation for a <br />Traffic Study on the impacts within a .5 to mile radius of the FasTracks station. <br />c. Policy recommendations will. need to address the anticipated impacts ofoff-street <br />parking demands. <br />d. Address polices associated with pedestrian circulation and evaluate pedestrian <br />circulation through the existing residential neighborhoods. <br />e. Revise Comprehensive Plan policies for this Opportunity Area and others to reflect <br />the intent of the City to participate in and secure Quiet Zones along the BNSF rail <br />corridor. <br />2. Opportunity Area # 5 <br />a. Evaluate additional policies for this Opportunity Area base upon current US36 - <br />EIS information. <br />Comprehensive Plan amendments should reflect the planned transportation <br />improvements based upon the Road and Bridge Fund and Transportation Sales Tax <br />Fund. <br />Economic Development <br />1. Recommended policy amendments include: <br />a. 2008 Economic Development Work Plan <br />b. Business Assistance Program - (BAP's) <br />c. Business Retention Efforts and Goals. <br />d. Shop Louisville Program. <br />2. Utilize results of economic and market analysis (if authorized) for the Highway 42 <br />Revitalization Area. Development of policies/ recommendations which would better <br />position the area for redevelopment. <br />6 <br />
