Open Space Advisory Board

Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, December 1ih, 2007
Louisville Public Library
951 Spruce Street
1st Floor Meeting Room
7:00 PM

Call to Order - Chairperson David Waldman called the meeting to order at 7:02
p.m.

Roll Call was taken and the following members were present:

Board Members Present: Brett Harper, Tom Davinroy, David Waldman,
Mikael Anderson, Linda Smith, Kate LeMere, Truman Bradley

Board Members Absent: Ted Kowalski

Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Scott Robson

Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved by all members.

Approval of Meeting Minutes - The minutes from the November 14th meeting
were approved as written;

Public Comments
Rick Breu and Justin McClure, representatives from the Takoda Village
Project in North Louisville, discussed the proposed trail crossing under the
Burlington Northern railroad tracks as a connection to existing Louisville trails as
encouraged by OSAB. Potential location coincides with drainage location which
potentially provides an opportunity for synergy with public works and urban
drainage. They feel one of the biggest challenges may to gain the attention of
Burlington Northern, a feat that may be more easily accomplished if the City of
Louisville were to contact them regarding the project. Each developed unit will
pay an open space impact fee of $3000 and a transportation fee that may be
applicable to this project.

The board emphasized the importance of developing Takoda's new trail
system in a manner that would provide connectivity to existing trails.

City of Louisville
Parks & Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4735 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.ci./ouisville.co.us
