<br />Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />reseeding efforts to take root and return these properties to a desired state. <br />This guidance extends to other managed open space properties where City <br />Staff believes non-lethal methods of population control have similarly been <br />ineffective and would require significant expenditure of resources and time <br />to bring the population within acceptable levels. <br /> <br />Staff Updates <br />1) Hecla Seating Area: Additional concrete and a larger area located at <br />the bench area will allow for better access and turn around ability for <br />residents. <br />2) McCaslin Road Crossing at Davidson Mesa: $45,000 has been set <br />aside for this project. Design concept will be presented to OSAB to be <br />discussed. Once approved construction will begin in the spring. <br />3) Service Award for Jeff Moline: Certificate of appreciation to be signed, <br />framed, and delivered to Jeff Moline. <br />4) Adopt-A-Park, Open Space or Trail: Ember will be sending out <br />contracts to sign up previous volunteers for 2008. This next year there <br />will be encouragement for volunteers to complete more tasks. <br /> <br />Board Updates <br />Plan to meet with Superior board next month. Tom will be coordinating with <br />the Superior board and informing the board of meeting time 1 place. <br /> <br />Final Review of Open Space Ranking Table <br /> <br />Acquisition ranking table is complete. Title to be changed to Candidate Open <br />Space to include wording that this document is a planning tool. <br /> <br />Review of OSAB Operation and Function <br /> <br />Discussion took place regarding communication, time frame of meetings, impact, <br />and feedback from city council. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting with Superior OSAB <br /> <br />Rules and regulations regarding Coal Creek Trail: Who is responsible for <br />monitoring 1 law enforcement? <br /> <br />US 36 EAS - Bikeway and improvements: which side of 36 would this be <br />located? <br /> <br />In stream flow of Coal Creek <br /> <br />Buffer Issues <br />
