<br /> <br />APPROVED -12/19/2007 <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 18, 2007 <br />City Hall, Council Chambers <br />749 Main Street <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />Call to Order - Chair Loeblich called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Horst Loeblich, Chair <br />Gerry Kelly <br />Bill Cordell <br />Wayne Chancellor, associate member <br /> <br />Board Members Absent: John Weise <br />Gunnar Malmquist <br />James Stuart, Vice-chair <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br />Jolene Schwertfeger, Administrative Assistant <br />and Recording Secretary <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda - Kelly moved and Chancellor seconded a motion to approve the <br />agenda. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes - Cordell moved and Loeblich seconded a motion to approve the <br />February 21, 2007 minutes as prepared by staff. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Public Comments - Items Not on the Agenda - None heard. <br /> <br />Regular Business - Public Hearing Item <br /> <br />Loeblich reviewed the procedures for the meeting; opened the public hearing; and <br />reviewed the criteria that must be met for the variance request. <br /> <br />~ Case No. 07-007-VA: 563 W. Cedar Place (Kelly and Tara Gratz), a variance <br />request to allow a reduction in the required minimum rear yard building setback <br />from 25 feet to approximately 18.5 feet to allow the expansion of an existing non- <br />conforming deck on an existing single family house. <br /> <br />Public Notice Verification: <br />Schwertfeger verified the public notice requirements: published in the Daily Camera on <br />April 8, 2007; posted in City Hall, the Public Library, the Recreation Center and the <br />Courts and Police Building on April 6, 2007; mailed to surrounding property owners <br />within 500 feet of the subject property on April 6, 2007; the property was posted with the <br />required signage and the appropriate fees were paid.
