It was decided to discuss this idea further in 2008. <br />5. Bridget gave an update on the recent use of historical images from the <br />Museum's collection. Framed historical photos have been hung at the <br />Library and City Hall; Cameron Weise has made a new film on the <br />making of Community Park using historical photos of the Acme Mine; and <br />the film showing WWII servicemen and women will be shown on Channel <br />8 on Veterans Day. <br /> <br />F. Sales Tax Update <br />1. City sales tax collected for the third quarter was $44 and sales tax <br />collected for the state of Colorado was $62, on sales of almost $2,000. <br />2. The Commission needs to renew both licenses for 2008, at a cost of $25 <br />and $8, respectively. The Commission approved these expenditures. <br /> <br />G. Louisville Historian - Fall 2007 and Winter 2008 Issues <br />1. Approximately 350 copies of the Fall Louisville Historian were mailed, <br />with additional copies printed for use as complimentary copies. <br />2. The Commission approved the payment of $304.93 to Morrell for printing <br />fees. <br />3. The Museum was sent a piece on Louisville's blacksmithing history <br />written by Margaret Stretz Cholski. The Commission approved of <br />Bridget's proposal to seek the consent of Cholski's family to feature the <br />article in the Winter 2008 Louisville Historian. <br /> <br />IX. Committee Reports <br />A. Facility Management <br />1. The ramp and steps at the back porch are installed. <br />2. Don dropped off bids for the fence. <br />3. The circle of grass is in place, as is the crushed gravel path. <br />4. Holiday Decorating session will be Saturday, December 1 at 9 am. <br />Bob, Alice, Don, Dave, and Donna will attend. <br /> <br />B. Community Education - Donna will follow up with Anne Robinson regarding <br />plans for the book club. <br /> <br />C. Events and Fundraising <br />1. Pat and Aline signed up for Parade of Lights Open House (December 7, <br />5:30-8:00). Don and Virginia will also help. Alice and Donna volunteered <br />to help set up. Virginia will talk to the Chamber of Commerce staff about <br />extending the parade past the Museum in this and future years. <br />2. Plans were made to provide refreshments for the public during the <br />Parade of Lights Open House. <br />3. Holiday Home Tour (December 8, 10:00-3:00): Each Commission <br />Member was given five tickets to the Holiday Home Tour to sell. Money <br />from sales can be dropped off at the Museum. <br />a. Diane and Pat signed up to work at the table at the United Methodist <br />Church, 9:30-3:30. Sally and Elle will be there all day. Donna, Dan, <br />and Don will help take things down at 3:00. <br />b. Bob can staff the Tomeo House at the Museum, 10:00-12:30, Don can <br />
