<br />City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />01/14/08 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE MONTH ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2007 <br /> <br />The December 2007 Financial Statements were presented to the Finance <br />Committee. The narrative prepared by the Accounting Manager can be located <br />on the City's website at www.ci.louisville.co.us. In addition to this presentation, <br />the following issues were brought forward and discussed: <br />. The Legislative division is over-budget due to increased costs for City events. <br />However, City events also exceeded their revenue forecast. <br />. The audit fieldwork for 2007 is scheduled for the week of March 3, 2008. <br />. Many of the capital improvement projects that were budgeted for in 2007 <br />were not completed. The budgets for these projects will be "rolled-forward" to <br />2008. <br /> <br />SALES TAX REVENUE FOR THE QUARTER ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2007 <br /> <br />. The November Sales Tax Report was presented to the Finance Committee. <br />The report prepared by the Sales Tax Administrator can be located on the <br />City's website at www.ci.louisville.co.us. <br /> <br />LIST OF BILLS <br /> <br />The List of Bills scheduled for approval at the Council Meeting scheduled for <br />January 8, 2008 and January 15, 2008 were presented to the Finance <br />Committee. The Committee discussed and/or requested additional information <br />on the following: <br />. The Committee confirmed the City's policy that purchase card payments <br />through Pay Pal are strongly discouraged. The Finance Department will <br />send an e-mail to all departments informing them of this policy. <br />. The Committee requested research into a joint fuel purchase program with <br />Denver and Aurora. <br />. The Committee discussed insurance pools versus traditional insurance. <br /> <br />PROPOSED BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR SHOP LOUISVILLE PROGRAM <br /> <br />The Committee was presented a proposed budget amendment for the Shop <br />Louisville Program. The Committee discussed the amendment with a <br />representative from ZVC and expressed support for an increase of $34,000 to <br />the City Manager - Business Retention Department. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR THE NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />The next meeting of the Finance Committee is scheduled for February 18, 2008. <br />Discussion items currently scheduled for the next meeting are: <br />.
