<br />City Council Finance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />02/18/08 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2007 <br /> <br />The Accounting Manager presented a new format of the December 31, 2007 <br />Financial Statements to the Finance Committee. The statements and the <br />corresponding narrative can be located on the City's website at <br />www.ci.louisville.co.us. In addition to this presentation, the following issues were <br />brought forward and discussed: <br />· It was noted that this was the second time that December 31, 2007 financial <br />statements were presented. Staff thought it more useful to the Committee to <br />present the updated pre-audit balances rather than the January 31 financial <br />statements. <br />. The Committee noted that the Public Access Television Fund did not have a <br />recurring revenue source and will soon be with no reseNes. <br />. The Committee questioned whether street sweeping costs could be expensed <br />to the Storm Water Utility Fund. <br />· It was noted that many of the capital improvement projects that were <br />budgeted for in 2007 were not completed and the budgets for these projects <br />will be "rolled-forward" to 2008. <br /> <br />SALES TAX REVENUE FOR THE PERIOD ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2007 <br /> <br />The Sales Tax Administrator presented the December Sales Tax Report to the <br />Finance Committee. The report and the corresponding narrative can be located <br />on the City's website at www.ci.louisville.co.us. <br /> <br />LIST OF BILLS <br /> <br />The List of Bills scheduled for approval at the February 19 Council Meeting were <br />presented to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />LETTER FROM BOULDER VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br /> <br />The Committee was presented a letter from Amy Wheatley, Monarch High <br />School, Boulder Valley Public Schools, requesting that a previously approved <br />"challenge grant" be awarded without the match from Town of Superior. The <br />Committee granted the request. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR THE NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />The Committee decided that it would normally meet once per month on the third <br />Monday of each month. However, a special meeting will be held on March 3 to <br />discuss the Long-Term Financial Model and the upcoming budget amendment. <br />The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Finance Committee will be March <br />17, 2008.
