Treasurer's Report/Proposed 2008 Budget/Correspondence, Invoice <br />Form - Jim <br />Jim met with Tara Williams with Dollars and Sense Accounting to go over <br />financial procedures, and discussed whether Tara should be copied on all LCC <br />e-mails. It was decided that event reports should go to Julie S. and that she will <br />forward to the entire board, including Tara. Jim pointed out that all bank deposits <br />should have written information on it with the specific event. Jim further <br />discussed that second signatory was needed, and Julie K. stressed the <br />importance of making clear the in-kind contributions. Julie Kovash was added as <br />signatory to the LCC checking account. <br /> <br />Jim further informed members that he has 2007 records, and to get information <br />to Don and Julie K. by Wednesday. Don is working on the 2009 budget. Jim <br />discussed that a 1 O-year record retention is required for non-profits. Jim <br />requested Julie S. to provide information regarding current paid liability <br />Insurance. <br /> <br />All members approved 2009 budget. Oversight to be handled by Don and Julie K. <br />Give any changes to Jim. <br /> <br />Invoice Form, Sponsorship Receipt was discussed. Jim discussed requesting <br />donator for the specific value of the in-kind donation, and that the sponsorship <br />receipt should be included in event report. Julie K. stressed that no cash (out of <br />box) should be used to pay for performers. <br /> <br />IX. City Council Update - Frost Yarnell not present. <br /> <br />X. City Staff Update - Kathy M.lJulie S. Kathy M. was not present. <br />Julie S. distributed an updated roster of LCC board members, and <br />requested any changes to be made on it for revision. She also discussed Open <br />Government packet, and reminded new members to attend the Open <br />Government Seminar, which is required every two years. Julie S. gave Andy L. <br />the Summer Concert packet. A secure tent was suggested for musicians for <br />shade. <br /> <br />XI. SCFD Grant/Grant Writing Workshop - Jim/Don/Julie K. <br />Julie K., Don, and Jim attended the recent SCFD Grant Writing <br />Workshop, and four other discretionary Grants, besides Tier III were shared, <br />including Collaborative - $5,000, Community Project - $500, Presentation - <br />$5,000, and Technical - $500. <br /> <br />Bilingual Poetry Slam was suggested for 2009, and Don moved, and Lynn 2nd, <br />and all were in favor. <br />
