<br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 20, 2008 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />many community members are planning to attend the February 26 board of education <br />meeting to express their disappointment about the decision. <br /> <br />Kathy Valentine, Megan Valentine, and Janet Stonington, 1101 Grant Avenue, <br />expressed their concern that many in the community are still unaware of the decision to <br />demolish the structure. <br /> <br />Tofte volunteered her time to help get the word out about the issue. <br /> <br />Muckle stated that the Design Advisory Team at the school was told that the structure is <br />unsound, when in fact it is not. <br /> <br />Muckle expressed some concern about making amendment t <br /> <br /> <br />ance. <br /> <br />Preservation Ordinance Amendments <br />Muth reported that she is still waiting for a draft of the amendments fro <br />Attorney but hopes to bring this to the March meeting for discus . n. <br /> <br />Muth stated that any changes would first come to the <br />recommendation prior to going to the City Council. <br /> <br />836 & 844 Main Street Stay of Demolition <br />Muth reported that there was no new update at this time. <br /> <br />Muckle asked if the applicant could be contacted for a status report for the March <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Next Commission Project <br />Koertje reported that he had contacte Colorado Community Revitalization <br />Association to ask about the Main Street Program. He will ask them to come to the <br />March meeting to give a ation. <br /> <br /> <br />Muth will also invite memb <br />the presentation. <br /> <br /> <br />the Downtown Business Association and City Council to <br /> <br /> <br />Demolition Req view <br />Muth reported no n emolition reviews. She added that the 916 Main Street plans are <br />sch led for the Mar 13 Planning Commission meeting. The owner has not yet <br />req emolition permit but she has been informed that she will have to go <br />throu aemolition review even if the plans are approved by the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Department Referrals - None <br /> <br />Updates <br />Muth reported that the1932 Water Treatment Plant will be an item of discussion at the <br />March 11 City Council Study Session. She also distributed copies of the Condition <br />Assessment that the Public Works Department commissioned for the site. <br />
