Memorial donations in 2007 were less than in 2006, with $610 donated in <br />memory of fourteen people <br />2. Libraries in Boulder County have selected the book Rocket Boys by <br />Homer Hickam for the One Book/One Boulder County program. <br />a. Hickam will be speaking in the area in the spring. <br />b. The idea of Louisville and Lafayette libraries and museums <br />coordinating activities in connection with the book, which takes place <br />in a coal mining community, was discussed. This is to be discussed <br />further at the next meeting. <br />F. Commission approval of expenditures <br />1. Purchase of Commission letterhead and envelopes from Cent <br />Printing <br />2. $362.76 in supplies (letterhead, envelopes, folders, labels, frames) was <br />approved <br />G. Louisville Historian -update on winter 2008 issue <br />1. Articles on, and pictures of, blacksmiths in Louisville <br />2. Pioneer Award by Don Ross <br />3. Still to be addressed: chimn s, cellar door, railing on back porch for <br />accessibility, wideni racks in doors of Tomeo House, and other <br />items. <br />b. Alice, Meredyth, an ridget will walk through and around facilities to <br />note work. ems. <br />c. City has d items from front of property to rear. It was noted that <br />the safe be placed on a concrete pad due to weight. <br />2. Selectiop of fencing contractor/scheduling of work <br />a. Three bids have been received <br />b. The rebuild of the front steps on the Jacoe Store will be a part of the <br />City's overall concrete replacement program which will take place in <br />the summer. <br />d. The City is hiring a Facilities Manager in 2008. This person will <br />oversee facility maintenance for all City buildings including the <br />museum campus. <br /> <br /> <br />
