Davidson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, reviewed the modification made at the December 13 Work Session. <br />Page 7, Section 1207.1 providing an exemption to the requirement of mechanical ventilation for <br />Group B Occupancies. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone wishing to speak on Ordinance No. 1204. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments, questions, or motions. <br /> <br />Mayer suggested the exception read "...no more than six...", rather than "...less than seven...". <br /> <br />Tami Tanoue, Griffiths & Tanoue, verified the first exception on page 7, Section 1207.1 as saying <br />"Exception: Existing buildings in Group B Occupancy or buildings changing to a Group B <br />Occupancy that are less than 1,000 s.f. or have an occupant load, as defined in this code, of no more <br />than six, may utilize a natural ventilation by means of operable exterior openings with an area of no <br />less than one-twentieth of total floor area of such portion of the building." <br /> <br />Council agreed that was correct. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1204, Series 1995, the adoption by reference <br />of the 1994 Uniform Building Code and enacting amendments thereto. Seconded by Sisk. Roll call <br />was taken.
