• Schedule Congressional meetings with Representative Udall, Perlmeutter (MCC will need to <br />schedule this to avoid any conflict due to Dena Perlmutter's employment at DWW) and Senators <br />Allard and Salazar <br />• Schedule meetings with Washington staff of delegation including Tewana Wilkerson <br />• Schedule meetings with relevant authorizers and appropriations staffers and Members, including <br />Joyce Rose, and others who will have a role in funding US36. <br />• Request and a meeting with Secretary Mary Peters and/or Administrator Simpson or senior FTA <br />employees. <br />• Schedule a meetings if desired with Jeff Booth, New Starts Working Group <br />• Facilitate meetings throughout 2007 for :MCC members traveling to DC for other purposes. <br />Deliverable: A full schedule of confirmed meetings and follow up after February trip. <br />3. FY 2009 Appropriations Requests <br />• Provide schedule for appropriations process <br />Deliverable: In coordination with MCC staff, DWW will draft appropriations requests and submit for <br />review by the MCC 30 days prior to submission deadline. <br />Deliverable: Finalize and submit the necessary FY2009 appropriations requests with review and <br />approval of the MCC. <br />4. Colorado Meetings <br />• DWW will determine which Colorado delegation members prefer to meet in Colorado while at <br />home. <br />• Seek opportunities to bring Congressional staff to the corridor. <br />• DWW (Bill, Levon) has scheduled a meeting on Dec 10, 2007 with Sen. Salazar's in-state staff <br />Renny Fagan and Zane Kessler. Requesting a meeting with Alan Salazar in Rep. Udall's office. <br />5. Role of Dutko Worldwide Staff <br />Bill Simmons will be the lead strategist and point: of contact for the MCC regarding all federal <br />appropriations related requests. Bill will work closely with Levon Boyagian regarding the day-to-day <br />federal strategy for the MCC. <br />Levon Boyagian will be very involved with the long-term and day-to-day Congressional and federal <br />strategies for the MCC. Levon will also be the Small Starts Program lead and point of contact for the <br />MCC. <br />Senior members and staff on the respective authorizing and appropriations committees are critical to the <br />MCC's long term success. Bill and Levon will reach-out to their respective contacts and networks on <br />Capitol Hill beyond the Colorado delegation. <br />
