Louisville City Council Meeting
February 18, 2003
Page 9

Simmons reported that information would be available on the City's Web Page and noted
information was also distributed to the Daily Camera and the Louisville Times.

Finance Director Laus stated the City is looking at ways to provide information on utility
bills, such as a year-to-date water consumption comparison to the year before.

Sisk suggested information be put on the Web Page, and ads to taken out to keep citizen's
informed. He asked if there was a way to expedite the State water reuse permits process.
Phare stated the application was submitted last week and irrigation would not be
significant until the middle of March. He explained the Colorado Department of Health
grants reuse permits to physical sites. He noted there might be ways to expedite the
physical piping of water to Miners Field.

Sisk asked how the City plans to communicate water conservation information to the
citizens. Phare stated that the City's quarterly newsletter would contain water
conservation techniques.

Sisk stressed the City must do a more effective job of communicating information to the
residents. He asked Phare to provide the State's criteria for watering. Phare stated the
State has an odd/even address-watering plan.

CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

City Attomey Sam Light updated Council on the Community Investment Fee litigation.
He stated his office has received documents from the plaintiff attorneys, demonstrating
the fees were paid. More documents are expected and after all the documents are
finalized the case will be dismissed. He noted the deadline was extended by two weeks.

CITY MANAGER'S REPORT

City Manager Bill Simmons asked Assistant City Manager for Governmental Relations
Heather Balser and Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd to update Council on future
meetings.
Balser reported the following scheduled meetings:
· March 6th - Council is scheduled to meet with the Town of Superior' s Board of
Trustees.
