Authorize City Manager to Execute Agreement and Contract Regarding <br />Franchise, Sales and Use Tax Audits of Public Service Company of <br />Colorado <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />No items to report. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the following two items: <br />• This weekend starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night and going through 5:30 a.m. <br />on Monday moming, the traffic on McCaslin Boulevard over US 36 will be <br />constrained to one lane in both directions, due to work on the Diverging Diamond <br />Interchange (DDI). <br />• The City requested bids for the Peace Officer Memorial at Helburg Park. <br />Invitations were sent to over 30 contractors, but only one bid was received. The <br />bid was twice what was budgeted for the project, because of the very competitive <br />construction market and a very small project. Staff is exploring different ways to <br />approach the project. The City will directly order some of the major components <br />for the memorial and rebid the project with those items specified as supplied by <br />the owner. The City hopes to have the Park completed by October 15th. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />LOUISVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL UPDATE <br />Mayor Muckle requested a presentation from the Louisville Middle School. <br />Ginny Vidulich, Principal of Louisville Middle School (LMS), 1341 Main Street, Louisville, <br />CO provided a short presentation recapping this year at LMS. She introduced the new <br />Assistant Principal Brian Munoz. Brian came from Florida and knew about Louisville <br />before he applied for the job. She stated it was a pleasure to attract the best and the <br />brightest across the county because of Louisville's reputation. She stated they have a <br />great partnership with the City and the Police Department and voiced her appreciation <br />for Officer Logan Haymore, their School Resource Officer. <br />
