Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 20, 2015 <br />Page 9 of 13 <br />Watson asked if they could separate the grants into separate resolution. <br />Trice stated you could. <br />Stewart stated he did not think they needed to be. <br />Koertje agreed. <br />Fahey made motion to approve the grant resolution. <br />Haley seconded the motion. <br />Motion approved 6 to 0. <br />Discussion /Comments on Planning Department Referrals - 945 Front Street <br />Stewart said he thinks it is a great project but doesn't see a need for parking on <br />site. <br />Koertje asked if on -site parking was required. <br />Russ stated there are three options: parking on -site, parking in -lieu, or parking <br />off -site through a third party parking agreement. <br />Stewart stated alteration certificates are a tough process to go through and most <br />communities have an informal review process. He recommended we consider <br />amending the code to allow for a similar process. <br />Russ agreed and said the preservation master plan might be a great venue to <br />discuss this option. <br />(there was a 5 minute break at 9:25 p.m.) <br />Update- Preservation Master Plan- Draft Action Items <br />Trice presented the items presented in the staff report. <br />Stewart asked Trice what the overall time frame for the process. He was <br />wondering if they have time to review the document. <br />Trice stated the entire plan will be reviewed in August. The intent of this draft is <br />to take a little pressure off the entire review. <br />Stewart asked if there was a way to summarize what they are looking into. <br />Trice stated the primary intent is to ask the board if they like the way the action <br />items are being presented. <br />
