JANUARY 27, 1993 <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVIT,T~ <br /> <br /> SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in special session <br />in the Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br />Mayor Davidson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the <br />following persons were present. <br /> <br />Council Members: <br /> <br />Margaret Hornbostel, Rob Lathrop, <br />Tom Mayer <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Annette Brand, City Administrator <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Susan Griffiths, City Attorney <br />Maj-Lis Kemper, City Clerk <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilman Kevin Howard <br />Councilman Chuck Sisk <br />Councilman Larry Hedding <br />Bill Hesson, Treasurer <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson called for any changes to the Agenda. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council approve the agenda. Seconded by Mayer. <br />All in favor. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DECISION ON PARTICIPATION IN NORTHERN COLORADO WATER <br />CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SOUTHERN PIPELINE PROJECT <br /> <br />Mike Schimmin, water attorney, stated that revisions were made in <br />the proposed agreement, of which Council received a copy. He <br />stated that Susan Griffiths, City Attorney, has some concerns about <br />the impact of Amendment 1 on the agreement. He explained that, <br />because of the Amendment 1 issues, they wanted to present Council <br />with two (2) alternatives. <br /> <br />1.) <br /> <br />What Council had in the their packet and the basic <br />structure of the agreement that was discussed the week <br />before, which involves a commitment now to go ahead with <br />the design phase and commit up to $900,000.00 in short <br />term costs, as well as a commitment to go ahead with <br />construction at a cost not to exceed $3.5 million, if the <br />bids come in by the end of the year. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
