RESOLUTION NO. 61 <br />SERIES 2015 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A RECREATION/SENIOR CENTER AND <br />AQUATICS CENTER EXPANSION TASK FORCE TO PROVIDE ADVISORY <br />RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE PROPOSED EXPANSION CONCEPTS AND <br />PROCESSES <br />WHEREAS, the City strives to be both effective and efficient with public <br />outreach, public involvement and notification for city projects, general information and <br />special events; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and City staff wants, and encourages and requires <br />citizen input on the design of a possible expansion to the Recreation /Senior Center and <br />possible aquatics expansion; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Charter Section 10 -2(f), the City Council desires to <br />establish a Recreation /Senior Center Task force to provide advisory recommendations <br />on the design of an expansion to the Recreation /Senior Center and possible aquatics <br />expansion. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. There is hereby created a Recreation /Senior Center and Aquatics Center <br />expansion. Task Force. <br />2. The goals of the Task Force shall be to: <br />a. Work with staff and City officials to evaluate current facilities. <br />• Evaluate facility capacity <br />• Evaluate resident and non - resident use <br />b. Assist and participate in hosting open houses and/or workshops to collect <br />and evaluate data and obtain comments from the community. <br />c. Compare and contrast what the City of Louisville facilities offer compared <br />and relative to other neighboring communities or communities of similar <br />size <br />d. Create project goals <br />e. Develop and evaluate altematives <br />f. Propose a facility design and program, consider all practical financing <br />options, and consider a move forward towards a possible bond election in <br />November 2016 <br />Resolution No. 61, Series 2015 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
