Staff Present: <br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />May 15, 2015 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Chris Hansen <br />Sandy Pennington <br />Matt Magley, Town Manager <br />Martin Toth, Assistant Town Manager <br />Alex Arinello, Public Works Director <br />Patrick Hammer, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Call to Order— The meeting was called to order at 7:30 AM by Mayor Muckle. <br />Discussion <br />A) McCaslin Interchange /DDI Update — The Louisville City Council and <br />Superior Town Board discussed the progress of the US 36 reconstruction <br />and the DDI. There was further discussion on the connections to the <br />Davidson Mesa Underpass and Superior's trail connections to the DDI and <br />Marshall Rd. <br />B) McCaslin Corridor Small Area Plan Update — The City Council and <br />Town Board discussed the Small Area Plan on McCaslin, process and <br />timeline. <br />C) Library Update — Discussion occurred on the current statistics at the <br />library as well as ongoing and summer programming. Town Board <br />members also discussed the December 2014 Superior Indoor Facilities <br />Survey results, including resident feedback on indoor amenities, library <br />services and indoor facilities. Some discussion centered on possible new <br />facilities in Superior and how that might affect future library service in <br />Louisville. <br />D) Water and Wastewater Systems Integration Update — The Town Board <br />and City Council conversed about the integration and opportunities to <br />collaborate. <br />E) Superior Town Center Status — Superior staff reviewed the status memo <br />provided in the packet. Discussion occurred on the physical infrastructure <br />and the timeline for buildout. <br />F) Phillips 66 Property Update — No update, property still on the market, <br />nothing to report. <br />G) Future Areas of Cooperation /Coordination — Discussion focused on the <br />current review both communities are beginning for possible expanded or <br />additional recreation facilities. Superior conducted its survey and will <br />discuss with the public possible opportunities for recreation and other <br />indoor /outdoor facilities. Louisville is just starting to consider possible <br />concepts for an expanded Recreation and Senior Center and a possible <br />aquatics facility. Public conversation on recreation facilities is ongoing in <br />both communities with more planned in the fall of 2015 <br />H) Campus Drive Connection — The maps provided in the packet were <br />reviewed. <br />
