Staff Present: City Council Study Session Summary May 27, 2015 Page 2 of 2 Michelle Krezek, Commissioner's Deputy Ben Perlman, County Attorney George Gerstle, Transportation Director Susie Strife, Sustainability Coordinator Call to Order— The meeting was called to order at 7:30 AM by Mayor Muckle. Discussion — Introductions occurred; The County Commissioners reviewed a power point presentation they provided at the meeting (included). Topics included County Parks and Open Space anniversary, trails, County services provided in Louisville, senior services, sustainability initiatives and transit services. 1) Sustainability Discussion — Discussion centered on sustainability programs offered by the County and coordinated efforts with the Louisville Sustainability Board and Louisville staff. 2) Flood Recovery — County staff discussed ongoing recovery efforts and bridge /transportation improvements throughout the County. 3) IGA Updates — Brief discussion on the Harney Lastoka IGA and capital improvements occurring at that open space parcel. 4) Eco Pass Committee Update — Conversation regarding the County's efforts to consider a County -wide Eco Pass program and a possible County vote in 2016 on the issue. County Commissioners thanked Council member Stolzmann for her participation on the Committee. 5) Boulder County Transportation Tax — George Gerstle, Boulder County Transportation Director, discussed the tax briefly and funding allocated to Louisville projects. County and City staff are coordinating on timing and funding of projects. 6) Louisville Urban Renewal Update — Aaron DeJong, Louisville Economic Development Director discussed the current blight study for the old Sam's Club site and the intention of City Council to consider an urban renewal plan for the site in August.
