Staff Present: <br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />May 27, 2015 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Michelle Krezek, Commissioner's Deputy <br />Ben Perlman, County Attorney <br />George Gerstle, Transportation Director <br />Susie Strife, Sustainability Coordinator <br />Call to Order— The meeting was called to order at 7:30 AM by Mayor Muckle. <br />Discussion — Introductions occurred; The County Commissioners reviewed a <br />power point presentation they provided at the meeting (included). Topics <br />included County Parks and Open Space anniversary, trails, County services <br />provided in Louisville, senior services, sustainability initiatives and transit <br />services. <br />1) Sustainability Discussion — Discussion centered on sustainability <br />programs offered by the County and coordinated efforts with the Louisville <br />Sustainability Board and Louisville staff. <br />2) Flood Recovery — County staff discussed ongoing recovery efforts and <br />bridge /transportation improvements throughout the County. <br />3) IGA Updates — Brief discussion on the Harney Lastoka IGA and capital <br />improvements occurring at that open space parcel. <br />4) Eco Pass Committee Update — Conversation regarding the County's <br />efforts to consider a County -wide Eco Pass program and a possible <br />County vote in 2016 on the issue. County Commissioners thanked <br />Council member Stolzmann for her participation on the Committee. <br />5) Boulder County Transportation Tax — George Gerstle, Boulder County <br />Transportation Director, discussed the tax briefly and funding allocated to <br />Louisville projects. County and City staff are coordinating on timing and <br />funding of projects. <br />6) Louisville Urban Renewal Update — Aaron DeJong, Louisville Economic <br />Development Director discussed the current blight study for the old Sam's <br />Club site and the intention of City Council to consider an urban renewal <br />plan for the site in August.
