LCityij. <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO I O SINCE 1878 <br />Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, September 16, 2015 <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Mark Persichetti. Minutes taken by <br />Claudia Lenz. <br />II. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Jamie Bartlett; Jim Bradford, Mary Ann Heaney David <br />Hsu, Claudia Lenz, Mark Persichetti; Justine Vigil- Tapia; City -Staff Liaison Dave Szabados; City - <br />Council Liaison Jay Keany; <br />III. Approval of Current - Meeting's Agenda: Approved as -is. <br />IV. Approval of August 19, 2015 Meeting Minutes: The minutes from the August 19, 2015 were <br />approved. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Lea Yancey (Boulder Community <br />Sustainability and Energy Specialist) attended the meeting to support the Louisville Sustainability <br />Roadmap efforts. Lea also answered questions regarding the popularity of the Fall 2015 Solar Grant <br />applications and that the deadline is Monday, Nov. 2. Jim Bradford reported to Lea Yancey that <br />LSAB sent a letter to City Council regarding acquiring a sustainability coordinator. Lea said that 50% <br />matching grants are available for funded interns and staff. <br />VI. Jay's Minute: Not in attendance. <br />VII. Dave's Minute: Dave reported that there would be three separate Climate Change Symposiums <br />on Thursday Sept. 24, Oct. 22 and Nov.19 at Louisville Middle School as part of an on -going public <br />education initiative led by the Louisville Open Space Advisory Board. Dave also spoke about the <br />Solar Benefits Colorado group discount for residents who purchase a home solar system or buy or <br />lease a Nissan Leaf through a bulk- buying program. The deadlines are Oct. 31 and Sept. 30 <br />respectively. Dave also stated the City is updating the waste water treatment plant to meet new <br />regulations. <br />VIII. Community Gardens: Mary Ann reported the community garden has been approved by The <br />Planning Department and Board of Adjustment. The City Council is meeting on Oct. 6 to vote on the <br />Community Garden. The City still has not provided a License Agreement for review by the Friends of <br />the Arboretum, who have agreed to be the non - profit fiscal agent sponsor for the community garden. <br />Justine stated that Boulder Housing and Human Services are considering funding the raised bed <br />garden plots.
