Phare:

Lathrop:

Mayer:

you're fairly committed to doing
this. say something happens and we
have a downturn in the number of
permits. I'm concerned with the
cost and I don't want to have to go
into debt to bail ourselves out, if
something should happen that, say we
don't grow as fast and we have to
find some other kind of alternative.
I just wanted to make sure that
you're saying that in the Water Fund
that we have right now to make the
purchase for the pipeline, we have
enough money here that we don't have
to go into debt to do that.

We purchase their capacity in '94
and pay for construction. That's
where the most of it is dispensed
and we still have over $4 million
left. There are some contingencies
available to us. I show
$150,000.00/yr. for the purchase of
the Colorado Big Thompson. I don't
want people to think that that is
the only thing that we'll buy. If
there are values available in the
basin, provided it's Council's
policy, we would continue to pursue
those. We have to be very strategic
and at our price, because with our
participation in the pipeline, we
have ways to do it. The pipeline,
once we're past the major
construction, provides for us to
really mirror our growth cycles with
water acquisition.

It appears that within our existing
annexed area, using the same
development figures that we used for
the Service Expansion Fee, that we
will need approximately another
1,000 acre ft. to service the
dwelling units that we anticipate in
the next ten (10) years within our
existing annexed area.

I calculate 750 acre ft. for the
existing :multi-family/residential
within the'existing City limits.
