Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1100, Series 1993,
amending the City of Louisville, Colorado, Industrial Revenue Bond,
Series 1984; and approving the form and authorizing the execution
of certain documents relating thereto, on 1st reading, and set the
Public Hearing for April 6, 1993. Seconded by Sisk. All in favor.

REPORT ON INFORMATION GATHERED TO DATE REGARDING PROPOSED
BALLFIELDS ON LASTOKA PROPERTY

Randy Burkhardt, Parks Planner, stated that he looked at and
photographed two (2) ballfields, the Stazio complex in Boulder and
the Garden Acres Ballfield complex in Longmont. Burkhardt
commented on what had worked at those complexes, while showing
slides, and what Louisville could possibly do in a complex that
might be constructed.

Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, reviewed the
memorandum (SEE ATTACHED), the preliminary stage of planning for a
ballfield site.

Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that they looked at
drainage, and some site work, and the impact it would have on
fitting ballfields within a certain parcel.

Mayer:

I would suggest looking at an access
from Griffith Street, with the
parking being on the north side.
Then, we wouldn't have these little
triangular pieces hanging around on
the south side. In order to reduce
some of the noise, would sunken
fields be a possibility?

Baysinger:

It would depend on the typography of
the land and how that's going to
influence your costs. Terracing of
the fields could be a possibility,
but you would have to look at the
end cost of doing that.

Hedding:

If you were to
Griffith Street,
left-in/left-out?
stop light there?

have access on
could you have a
Could you put a

Phare:

Yes (left-in/left-out). I can't
promise that (stop light). That's a
State highway and they control
whether a traffic signal would be
installed. At the point it met the
criteria for a traffic signal, it's

13
