For 2008 LCC has the following goals:
. To submit and defend the SCFD grant for 2009
GOS
. To deliver a rich and diverse set of program events
. To diversify our revenue sources
. To improve upon event reporting and booking
processes and practices
. To establish steering committees to increase focus
in key areas
Challenges 2007
. In the 2007 SCFD grant cycle (for 2008 GOS), LCC
was informed they cannot use in-kind use of the arts
center as revenue
. Due to inadequacies in our current arts center, events
are often under-marketed out of concern we will
exceed the building's capacity; musicals and plays
conceived and rehearsed in Louisville are performed
outside the city
Progress 2008
. 2008 SCFD grant submitted for 2009 GOS
- Based on 2007 expenses, requested amount is
$3,450 as opposed to the $6,000 granted for 2008
GOS, and $8,000 granted for 2007 GOS
- City budget line items are critical, as are new
sources of funding
.
