City Council
Study Session Summary
April 8, 2008
Page 6 of6

and that he had been having conversations with Scott Randall, Superior City
Manager. City Manager Fleming said that the task force would be meeting to
discuss further options.

Mayor Sisk that said that the task force needs to look at the bigger picture and to
remain flexible. He did not feel that $10,000 was an amount worth harming
relations with over and possible future projects between Louisville and Superior.
He felt that an IGA with Superior was essential.

Mayor Pro Tem Marsella said that she did not consider the money to be the
major issue but to establish a long-term agreement with Superior regarding
Library services.

Councilor Sackett agreed with the Mayor and said that it was important to work
cooperatively with Superior.

Mayor Sisk said that he received a complaint from a resident that the I RS forms
were no longer available at the Library. Director Mojo said that the forms are
available online and that there had been problems with the I RS forms, such as,
the forms not arriving in a timely matter, where to put the many forms, etc.
Sandra Richmond, Library staff, added that other problems were that because of
the number of forms, the Library cannot have copies of all the forms and that
people would want Library staff to help them with filling out the forms. Ann Stoffel
said that Library staff help people find the forms online.

Meredith Davis, trustee, said that she appreciates how the services the Library
offers. She conveyed that while she was in New York, the Library there lost a
bond measure and when she visited the Library they had signs up about how the
Library was not buying books due to lack of funding.

7. Adjourn - The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
Submitted by Deborah Borelli, Apri/14, 2008
