David C. Bishop, 900 Clover Circle, Lafayette, Colorado, stated that he would answer any questions the Council might have. He explained that the American Legion is no longer going to be leasing the property. The Louisville Lions Club owns the property. Bishop will be purchasing the property from the Lions Club. He will then be providing the space for the Louisville Dance Center, who will be his tenant. Sisk: Bishop: I take it that one of the contingencies of your contract is that this Special Use be approved? Yes. Mayer: On the use as a pre-school, how many children are you thinking of accommodating? Jan Ferrari, 1004 Adams Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, stated that they'll be licensed for a maximum of 24 children. Mayer's concerns were with pick-up and drop-off of the children in that area. Bishop: There is a public lot that is available directly behind that building. We are adding a rear door to the building, with a concrete path to the parking lot. A majority of the drop-off and pick-up would be through that lot. In addition, the parking directly on LaFarge Street has a main entrance there, as well. People will be able to park long enough to park and pick up their children. There is room for probably four cars on LaFarge frontage. I've been there during the day and it is very lightly parked. It's my opinion that safe drop-off and pick-up would be accomplished through those two accesses. In the evening with the dance studio, the City parking lot empties out between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The first time we'd require any significant parking, while they're waiting for their children to get done, the City parking lot is typically pretty well empty by that time. 12
