Hardy stated that he is committed to this community, he sits on the
Board of Adjustment, and he volunteers his time to the city. He
felt that he had worked within the frame work and that this was the
proper procedure to use.

Mayer felt that Hardy had raised some good issues, especially with
respect to the Parks & Recreation building. He felt Council needed
to make a fundamental decision this fall about how long the city
would be keeping that building for its present use. He stated that
not having a major facility or department accessible to all
citizens was not acceptable. He commented that the city is going
to be putting together a master plan for curb cuts this fall.

Barbara Jones, 531 West Hackberry, Louisville, Colorado, leader of
Girl Scout Troop #1283 from Fireside Elementary, stated that for
the past few years they have met at the school in the cafeteria.
This year, because of overcrowding, they aren't being allowed to
use the school facility. She came to ask the city for help, by
considering allowing them to use a room at the Recreation Center
for an adjusted fee or any other facility they might use.

Davidson ask Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, to look
into that. Davidson called for anyone else in the audience wishing
to speak on any items not on the Agenda.

NONE

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS - ON PERTINENT ITEMS
NOT ON THE AGENDA

Mayer stated that he had been observing that on some of the bike
lanes some of the younger residents have been riding on them in the
wrong direction, which he considered a very serious safety issue.
He urged parents to instruct their children concerning the safety
risk involved. He wanted the Police Department to take this
seriously also.

Hornbostel thanked Dianne Shanks for her work on the Labor Day
events, which were very successful.

Sisk agreed with Hornbostel.

Maj-Lis Kemper, City Clerk, stated that the Friends of the Library
did an outstanding job in raising a lot of money that the Library
needed.

Davidson agreed with all.

4
