SEPTEMBER 21, 1993 <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in regular session <br />in the Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br />Mayor Davidson called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. and the <br />following persons were present. <br /> <br />City Council: <br /> <br />Margaret Hornbostel (7:07 p.m.), <br />Kevin Howard, Rob Lathrop (7:05 <br />p.m.), Chuck Sisk, Tom Mayer, Larry <br />Hedding (8:04 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Annette Brand, City Administrator <br />Chris Miller, Asst. to the City Adm. <br />Bill Blankenship, Human Res. Officer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Susan Griffiths, City Attorney <br />Maj-Lis Kemper, City Clerk <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Wm. Hesson, City Treasurer (excused) <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson called for any changes to the Agenda. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council approve the Agenda. Seconded by Mayer. <br />All in favor. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION REGARDING ALLEGATIONS OF VIOLATION OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL ETHICS ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Davidson stated that he had asked for this Agenda item to be aired <br />before the public, because he had become concerned with a recent <br />editorial in which Mr. Conarroe had made repeated allegations of <br />unlawful conduct by the City Council. He stated that the <br />allegations are false and a blight on the community. He related <br />that Conarroe had stated that it is very upsetting to him morally, <br />legally, and ethically to see evidence that tells him that the City <br />of Louisville is trying to make a deliberate, coldly calculated <br />attempt at circumventing the law. Conarroe had stated that what he <br />called the "Davidson Council" and the City Attorney wrote a <br />disclaimer in the open space ballot question for the purpose of <br />negating Amendment 1. Davidson stated that this statement is <br />completely false. Davidson explained that, as Mr. Conarroe should <br />know, in ballot questions submitted to the voters by petition, as <br />this one was, the wording is written by the petitioners and cannot <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
