COMMUNICATIONS AND WORK PLAN OVERVIEW The Recreation /Senior Center and Aquatics Expansion Study will be developed September 2015 through July 2016. Public outreach, events, and other engagement activities will occur throughout the plan development. The Recreation /Senior Center and Aquatics Facility Expansion Study and associated communications efforts are comprised of four main phases. • Phase 1: August- October 2015 1 Involve & Collaborate Focus on initiating the study, developing an inventory of existing conditions and an analysis of future opportunities. • Phase 2: November 2015- January 2016 1 Envision & Analyze Visioning process with broad involvement from citizens to establish a unified vision to determine community demand and to guide the design process. • Phase 3: February -May 2016 1 Inform & Involve Develop Expansion Options and Associated Expenses, then revisit public outreach to receive feedback on proposals. • Phase 4: June -July 2016 1 Implement & Adopt Determine funding options and strategies to implement update plans and present to City Council for final consideration.
