you wanted to say Public Works tell us how we get from the 96th Street interchange that is proposed over to Hwy. 42. Between the environmental review, there are some sensitive areas that we'll have to cross, because of the rough terrain near Murphy's hill that we'll have to deal with. I think it's pretty easy on top of the mesa towards STC out past Dillon Road, but it's tough going across the railroad track, Coal Creek, and then getting into Hwy. 42. Lathrop stated that several years ago some money was spent, $3 - $4,000, to look at alternatives, as far as 96th Street, tying in Main Street, Bellevista, etc. and they were pretty cursory. He wasn't advocating doing that again. He just wanted to raise the issue. Lathrop also wanted to raise the issue of the Police Department. He felt that the budget adequately reflected their needs. Davidson called for any other changes to the Capital Improvement Program. NONE Davidson: The two that we want to vote up and down would be the park and the Enclave. I was wondering, Tom, if you would consider putting that in fiscal '95, rather than in fiscal '94, in that the Finance Committee is looking at refinancing the 1% sales tax bonds, which will produce a net savings of about $50,000 per year? We would start having that money in '94. Mayer: I don't understand. If the money is there in '94 and the staff time is available, is there any reason it shouldn't be done in '94? Mayer moved that Council add back the $40,000 to the CIP Fund for 1994 for the park at the Enclave, as originally mentioned in the original CIP budget. Seconded by Sisk. All in favor except Hedding.
