OSAB 2016 Goals Brainstorming Results <br />January 14, 2016 <br />All brainstorming ideas were grouped into the following categories: <br />1. Acquisition (6 Votes): <br />a. One new open space <br />b. Gain traction on Mayhoffer property <br />c. Encourage diverse acquisition methods to Council <br />d. Make a City priority <br />e. City proactive <br />f. Conoco Phillips public access <br />2. Resource Management (6 Votes): <br />a. Evaluate open space expenditures vs. other municipalities <br />b. Agricultural lands well preserved <br />c. Target wildlife wins (Burrowing owls) <br />d. Native Species & Urban Environment Management Plan <br />e. Collection of flora & fauna baseline data <br />f. Prioritize land management (inventories /surveys) <br />g. Plant & animal survey <br />h. Resource management discussion & advocacy <br />i. Properties managed in a way that insures future health <br />j. Land remediation <br />k. Research & inventory <br />3. Wayfinding (5 Votes): <br />a. Push for wayfinding trail linkages <br />b. Finalize Plan in coordination with planning and begin implementation <br />c. Dedicated on- street bike lanes throughout old town <br />d. Wayfinding network <br />e. Make progress on trial connectivity <br />f. Working with staff and council to phase the project more and raise public awareness <br />4. Dog Issues (4 Votes): <br />a. Increase code enforcement <br />b. Acquire off -leash area & close Davidson Mesa <br />c. Resolve Davidson Mesa off -leash area issues <br />d. Enforcement / education /remediation /alternatives <br />e. Excel property for dog off leash <br />f. Reduce dog poop in off leash <br />13 <br />
